What are the Duties & Responsibilities
- Train staff in surveillance during recreation time, mealtime, and relaxing time
- Train staff on how to develop positive rapport with children while serving as role models to create a safe and caring environment
- Ensure Youth Care Worker Leads are following the policies in place in accordance with customer requirements
- Meet with the team to provide updates and important information
- Update leadership of incidents and needs, as necessary
- Support leadership through formal or informal supervision and provide staff with ongoing feedback
- Participate in ongoing meetings, conferences, and training programs as required
- Assist during the transition and movement of children from one activity to the next and one physical location to another
- Be familiar with and competent with the execution of all evacuation procedures
- Provide coverage for assigned staff when needed
Q: What are the educational qualifications needed to apply for this job?
A: A high school diploma (or equivalent) is required, while an associate degree is preferred.

A: Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required for this job.
Q: What experience is needed for this job?
A: A minimum of 1 year of experience in the child welfare industry working with children and/or adolescents in a social service setting is required. Experience working with children from diverse backgrounds is a plus. 2 years of management/supervisory experience is also required.

A: The job requires the ability to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS).
