Your Duties And Responsibilities as a Market Account Manager

  • The Inside Sales Accounts Manager – Small & Medium Enterprises (ISAM) focuses on growing Southwest Airlines’ corporate account base, high yield revenue, and sales through effective consultative cold calling, qualifying, managing lead generation strategies, and relationship ownership for small and medium accounts
  • They are responsible for proactively creating, negotiating, and executing corporate travel partnerships and working cross-functionally to secure, communicate, and execute contracts with limited supervision
  • Must be able to meet any physical ability requirements listed in this description
  • The primary responsibilities of this team will be to grow Southwest Airlines’ market share and incremental business with companies throughout the domestic U.S. and near international

Who Can Apply For This Position 

  • Effectively self-directed to achieve sales performance metrics and managed portfolio of small and mid-sized (SME) corporate accounts
  • Works collaboratively with the Insides Sales Team and Sales Performance & Insights Team to align the right solutions with each account to drive incremental sales
  • Must demonstrate the ability to prospect, cold call, and qualify corporate clients, within and outside the Southwest Airlines network
  • Ensures that sales activities and projects are completed on schedule following established procedures
  • Ability to confidently represent Southwest and the Team in cross-functional internal and external projects and meetings
  • Knowledgeable of the airline industry and competition, specifically regarding corporate travel options for SMEs with the ability to recognize travel trends
  • Presents self-formulated recommendations for complex problems
