Your Duties And Responsibilities as a Maintenance Operations

  • Ensures Maintenance Operations Control (MOC) procedures are established, implemented, and maintained in the MOCPM and the GPM, where applicable, and guarantees that adequate resources are in place to accomplish these procedures
  • Identifies industry best practices relevant to American Airlines Maintenance Operations
  • Ensures MOC department employees are adequately trained in aspects pertaining to their duties and responsibilities
  • Monitors the status and departure of company aircraft, taking appropriate action when maintenance problems arise or when it is anticipated that daily operations will be affected
  • Coordinates with Integrated Operations Center (IOC) concerning Maintenance Operational Control issues and maintenance problems that affect the dispatching of aircraft
  • Provides guidance and counsel on issues including, but not limited to, staffing and process changes, conflict resolution, Tech Ops planning and vision, and decisions at the Technical Operations level
