The Engineer Service Management – Change and Release supports and manages the IT Change and Release Management disciplines for all environments and ensures the accuracy of deployments to production.

The Engineer manages the establishment and maintenance of documentation and policies for the production and supporting environments, including Stage, Dev, and QA. This includes interfacing with but is not limited to, IT managers, project managers, and other IT leaders, as relevant for the assigned product area.

Your Duties And Responsibilities as an Engineer Service Management

  • Oversee and be responsible for the implementation and effectiveness of the Release Management Process.
  • Produces and delivers training materials for the users of the system and processes.
  • Propose both quantitative and qualitative measures of different components of the Release Management Process.
  • Align release schedules across products to facilitate delivery of cross-product functionality in a logical, business-sensitive manner
  • Evaluate the performance of technologies and effectiveness of tools and technologies involved and recommend improvements (e.g. monitoring effectiveness, monitoring alert/alarm response by responsible organizations).
  • Provides guidance and assesses requirements for additional services and promotes the use of IT services, where appropriate.

Who Can Apply For This Position 

  • Five (5) years of change and release management engineer experience
  • Extensive knowledge of ITIL Change and Release Management best practices
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Project, Excel, Word, and Visio,
  • Able to work flexible hours and be available for emergency response on short notice
  • ITIL v3 Foundations certification
  • Proficient in ITSM ticketing systems (ServiceNow preferred)
  • Excellent customer service and an understanding of how IT is ultimately delivered to the Customer
  • Available for overnight travel (less than 10%)
