Your Duties And Responsibilities as a Payroll Analyst

  • Perform an analytical detail audit of payrolls processed
  • Stay abreast of federal, state, and local payroll tax changes and reporting requirements leverage consulting skills to partner with internal and external business partners to drive best practices
  • Calculate and maintain accrued payroll liabilities
  • Maintain payroll tax rates
  • Produce quarterly and year-end payroll and labor expense reporting
  • Serve as an escalation point for incoming questions and requests and supports the Payroll Administrator in responding to inquiries
  • Responsible for quarterly and year-end payroll reconciliations
  • Drive the continuous improvement of payroll processes with a push toward automation including system changes and enhancements
  • Develop a recurring payroll metrics dashboard for Leaders to track and measure the efficiency of payroll processes

Who Can Apply For This Position 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years of progressive payroll experience
  • Experience analyzing large volumes of data, identifying root-cause analysis, making data-driven decisions/recommendations, and communicating trends
  • Experience performing numerous functions within Payroll and HR, including time and attendance
