To execute the planning and provisioning of aircraft spares and tools, in order to meet all operational and maintenance demands in Line & Base Maintenance and support AOG situations at Main Base and EK outstations. Also to carry out inventory reviews in order to ensure optimum inventory levels and data accuracy.

Your Duties And Responsibilities as a MATERIAL PLANNING OFFICER

  • Initiate & support planning actions ensuring effective support of materials for operations at agreed service levels, thereby ensuring timely completion of maintenance inputs and supporting the long- and short-term planning requirements of materials.
  • Carry out Initial Provisioning review of spares & components for aircraft & engines, by analyzing manufacturer recommendations and establishing requirements to be able to effectively support fleet growth and maintain despatch reliability.
  • Regularly carry out reviews of the inventory, and component failure rate analysis in order to maintain optimum inventory levels.
  • Liaise with various engineering sections in the pursuit of meeting the requirements and optimizing the inventory and maintain the inventory to the established ground rules, compiling accurate data, and calculating float.
  • Carry out a review of non-moving and slow-moving items as per Surplus Review Plans and identify surplus stock items to reduce and optimize the inventory.
  • Review inventory at outstations and ensure availability of required material & tooling for operational support.
  • Coordinate with relevant Provisioning sections, Stores and despatch sections to ensure timely availability.

Who Can Apply For This Position 

  • Experience in an airline or third-party maintenance environment, less experience will be considered if academic qualifications are graduate /license graduate engineering/AME.
  • Knowledge of aircraft components and associated systems, and a sound experience of the ERP (Inventory Management) System.
  • Industry experience in various supply chain management is preferable (Warehouse and Logistics, Repairs Management, Material Planning/Support, Inventory Control & Technical Purchasing).
  • Preference will be given to personnel with airline experience however consideration will also be given to candidates with good educational backgrounds with experience in the above functions from other fields involving high-value, technically complex products.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
