Preferred Qualifications
- Operational experience in Airline Customer Service or Ground Operations
- FAA Flight Dispatch license
- Bachelor’s Degree or 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience working in an Airport Control Centre (ACC)/Hub Tower environment or experience in dispatching or coordinating work activities in safety and time-sensitive environment
What You Have to do as a Tower Agent
- Ability to collaborate with and support ideas from team members to complete tasks and reach common goals.
- Responsible for supporting all teams and the operation
- Develops a line of communication with the local FAA tower to ensure maximized use of the airport facility and minimized obstructions of Delta aircraft traffic
- Serves as an operational liaison between Delta and all contracted business partners (Catering, Fuelling, Cleaning, etc…) within the station
- Responsible for managing on-board tarmac delays and ensuring DOT 3-hour tarmac rule compliance
- Partners with the Operations Customer Centre (OCC) in executing the daily operation to meet safety, reliability, and customer service objectives
- Makes decisions regarding delaying flights for local and down/up-line customers/bag connections
- Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures
- Actively manages and oversees the movement of all aircraft traffic into and out of Delta controlled traffic areas
- Oversees gate assignments and monitors gate separation/spacing issues, and gate closures due to airport or terminal construction and is responsible for resolving all gate conflicts for the facility
