Who Can Apply For This Position

  • High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) or education equivalent
  • Ability to use hand and power tools
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience, certification, and/or training in one or more of the following trades: auto mechanics, boiler maintenance, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, and/or general building repair
  • Ability to perform work in areas 10 feet or higher
  • Ability to communicate effectively in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with department staff
  • Working knowledge in one or more trades related to building maintenance and repair (e.g. auto mechanics, boiler maintenance, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, or general building repairs and of the machinery, equipment, and tools necessary for the maintenance and repair of the building
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints and assembly instructions, follow safety practices, and recognize hazards
  • Ability to provide direction and supervision of direct report work
  • Ability to operate equipment such as forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, baler, and other mechanical equipment
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including a working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Minimum of two (2) years of leading and/or supervising a team
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of this position
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
  • Must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license
  • Must be willing and able to work any shift in a 24 hour / 7 day a week operation including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • This position does not provide relocation assistance.

What You Have to do as a Maintenance Coordinator

  • Utilize a preventative maintenance program to schedule, assign and track current, overdue, and completed maintenance requirements and facility needs, environmental ECO tasks, and work orders for mechanics and maintenance helpers
  • Operate company vehicles, catering trucks, forklifts, stock pickers, scissor lifts, and electric pallet jacks; refuel vehicles with CNG, diesel, gas, and/or propane
  • Coordinates overtime usage for the department with the Maintenance Manager
  • Contact vendors to obtain cost-efficient bids and/or proposals in obtaining parts and/or services for maintaining and/or repairing the facility and equipment
  • Comply with United’s established purchasing guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Performs monthly preventative maintenance on facility and associated systems and kitchen equipment (e.g. AHU, MAU, RTU, exhaust fans, dish machines, kitchen equipment, emergency lighting, fire extinguishers, emergency eyewash, EPA requirements, Ice Plant, etc.)
  • Comply with all Federal (including OSHA, USDA, FDA, HAACP, and EPA), State, Denver International Airport City, and County regulations associated with the facility
  • Perform snow removal of the parking lot and sidewalks with the use of a shovel, snow blower, and/or snow plow truck
  • Provide expert troubleshooting on minor maintenance problems involving HVAC, electrical, structural, plumbing and equipment repair and/or replacement (e.g. slicing machines, sealers, tilt skillets, refrigeration, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
